I (obviously *g*) went for a walk through the botanical garden today (after I spent some money at the photo market ). I got some some new filters, such as a polarisation filter and an eight-star filter. Actually had an Eight-star allready, but for an EF-S lens wich I cannot use on the EOS 5D. Well, the photo market and its the cheap equipment offered there came right on time . Also bought a book about flash photography *blush*.. still have some problems with coordination of the cam and the flash, hehe.. but well, you have to learn somehow
Oh, and Fred is doing very well. Enjoying the few sunrays he catches these days. We figured out that the enges of his leaves turn slightly red in the sun. Looks cute, hihi.
Apart from my euphophoria about the new equipment I'm still counting the weeks till December 26th.. miss him horribly ...

Sonisphere - official photographer :)
Even tho it's quite silent here, things have been running in the background. There have been several promo pics projects as well as publications. You can find more details considering those on my portfolio at www.shelley-j.com
One of the biggest project of this year so far is surely the Sonisphere Festival in Switzerland. I'll be attending the festival as the official photographer of the event, which will include live pictures as well as documentation of the whole festival. It'll be tough two days but I'm really looking forward to it. Not only because of the amazing line up (Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Alice in Chains..) but also s

Seems like my "once a year" journal didn't really work out *g*. End of last year I've been busy mainly with finding my priorities. The result was a new portfolio at www.shelley-j.com and the decision to take it slower with Metalpics (which now is reachable through www.metalpics.eu and not metalpics.ch anymore) during 2009.
The time off gave me more space for creativity and time to concentrate on fewer but larger projects. Some of the results can be seen in the gallery here, but mainly you can find the pictures and the publications in the portfolio mentioned above.
Beside the photo sessions with various bands (Triptykon, Cynic, Suffocation,
Another year... ZGMF, football, new portfolio...
Another year is through and thus, as usual, time for a new journal entry ;)
Basic news? The biggest and most exciting ones are not 100% confirmed yet.. but if things work out, I'll be shooting my first football game mid of May 2008!! :D Big news for a huge fan of Reuters Editor's 24h-choice :) :)
Also, I'm proud to announce the official partnership between Metalpics and Zagreb Metal Fest. The festival will be taking place on May 30th 2008 in my home city Zagreb, Croatia. Amorphis, Sodom, Unleashed, Finntroll and others will be rocking the stage at the Boogaloo. For more infos visit www.metalpics.ch and www.zagrebmetalfest.com

April madness
Back again with a lot of new stories to tell :).
April was pure madness, resulting in 16 days and 11 gigs, including a part of the No Mercy tour :headbang: . I had a great time, bringing home a huuuuuge bunch of pics!
